December 2006: Ebase Integration Server
Ebase Technology release the Ebase Integration Server. The Integration Server extends Ebase platform integration capability to include the deployment of Ebase applications as Web Services.

November 2006: Capita CRM
Capita release an Ebase developed product that extends Capita CRM functionality to include integration with the Capita Academy suite of products. The product builds on Ebase integration facilities to implement data communication via the Acadamy ABC web service API.

October 2006: Service Transformation at Herts CC
"A great leap forward for the Educational Benefits Process" is how the fulfilment team manager describes the transformation of service delivery. The service has been totally transformed from a lengthy paper chase to a steamlined, online system that allows citizens to apply for benefits online or call the Herts contact centre, where an operative completes the application online using the same system.

October 2006: CAPS Solutions becomes an Ebase Partner
CAPS Solutions is the UK market leader in spatially enabled software solutions developed exclusively for local government departments, bringing together information about land, people and property. CAPS will be adding to their range of applications by using Ebase.

October 2006: Sefton Council installs Ebase
Sefton Council becomes the latest Ebase customer, installing Ebase to support ICS from Anite.

September 2006: Barnsley switches to Ebase
Barnsley MDC has switched to Ebase for online development following a recommendation by their service provider Bull HN.

September 2006: North Tyneside and Blackburn with Darwen Councils install Ebase
Two more councils roll out ICS from Anite.

August 2006: CSAW Support Agreement
Ebase Technology and Anite Public Sector have signed a support agreement for the CSAW online self assessment application. See Case Study - Kent CC (150KB) for more details of the application.

June 2006: Blyth Valley and East Renfrewshire select Ebase
Recommended by Anite Public Sector as a part of its modernising government activity, Blyth Valley and East Renfrewshire install Ebase.

June 2006: Rochdale installs Ebase
The Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale installs Ebase to support ICS.

May 2006: Ebase Technology joins Intellect
To benefit from the interactions within a recognised trade body, Ebase Technology has joined the trade association for the software industry.

May 2006: Wigan and Oldham install Ebase to support ICS
The Metropolitan Boroughs of Oldham and Wigan have installed Ebase to support Anite SWIFT ICS.

April 2006: Capita and Ebase Technology form Strategic Alliance
The Capita Group has become the latest third party software company to recognise the power and flexibility of Ebase. Capita will use Ebase to deliver new functionality across its range of Academy products.

April 2006: Ebase Workflow show-cased at eGov Expo
The next generation of workflow solutions was show-cased at the eGov Expo in London Docklands 5th and 6th April.

April 2006: Croydon, Rotherham, Surrey and Swindon install Ebase
As a part of Anite Public Sector's roll out of ICS, four more authorities license Ebase.

March 2006: Croydon selects Ebase
The London Borough of Croydon has selected Ebase to support a number of e-gov initiatives. Following an extensive evaluation to prove a number of concepts Croydon will install Ebase on a number of servers within the authority.

February 2006: Ebase in the Press
Articles featuring Ebase appeared in Government Computing and the Winter issue of Government & Public Sector Journal.

February 2006: CSAW goes live at Kent CC
The Kent County Council Citizen Self Assessment Website (CSAW), built using Ebase, was launched this month. CSAW carries out an online assessment to establish whether a citizen is entitled to social care or services. The assessment can be carried out by the citizen or someone on their behalf. February 2006: Ebase extended to Vodafone Group Services
Vodafone Group Services which spans many international markets, has selected Ebase to support business process management.

January 2006: A Flying Start for 2006
Dudley, Tameside and Portsmouth Councils install Ebase to support Integrated Children's System.

January 2006: City of Bradford Revolutionary Approach to Child Care
"A powerful and revolutionary approach to delivering information to hundreds of frontline care workers" is how Ian Sampson of Bradford Social Services describes the application developed using Ebase. Case Study - Bradford MDC(803KB).

January 2006: North Dorset Council chooses Ebase
The Anite Public Sector Modernising Government team has won a contract to supply Ebase to North Dorset Council.

December 2005: Ebase User Group Meeting
The Ebase User Group met on Friday 2nd December at Vodafone UK's Head Office campus in Newbury.
Over thirty delegates attended the meeting, which had presentations from Vodafone UK, Deloitte Consulting and London Borough of Greenwich. An additional demonstration was given by Bradford MBC where a tablet PC suitably equipped with a Vodafone 3G card was used to access Ebase social services applications in Bradford.
Jon Rickard, Ebase Technology's Development Director gave an overview and demonstration of the new enterprise workflow module. This was followed by demonstrations showing how easy it is to integrate Ebase with Web Services and XML.

November 2005: Services Framework launched
To meet the increasing demand for development services Ebase Technology has launched a Services Framework. The Services Framework provides rules of engagement for project work and employs an Agile Development methodolgy. Projects executed using the framework include:- How Can We Help (Herts CC), Community Self Assessment Website (Kent CC / Anite) and Cleansweep (LB of Greenwich)

November 2005: Sunderland and South Tyneside install Ebase
Both Sunderland and South Tyneside councils install Ebase to support their Anite SWIFT ICS implementations.

November 2005: Norfolk CC introduces a Corporate Services Disruption System
With winter upon us and bad weather forecast Norfolk CC has implemented an Ebase system to advise citizens of disruption to services. Phase 1 includes school closures due to bad weather. The system automates the production of emails and faxes to let concerened parties know which schools are affected. Messages are also sent to local radio stations and the BBC. Norfolk CC and the BBC websites are automatically updated. Norfolk CC and Ebase Technology collaborated to deliver this application.

October 2005: Newsletter Launched
Ebase Technology has launched a newsletter titled "Online Update" designed to keep the growing number of Ebase customers updated with new developments and to share customer experiences. "Online Update" is published as a downloadable pdf. Newsletters

October 2005: Ebase in the Press
Two articles have appeared featuring Ebase. Government Computing featured a full page article about Hertfordshire County Council's "How Can We Help" transactional web application for Educational Benefits while Goverment Technology has run an article describing The London Borough of Haringey's decision to use Ebase for its AAA compliant web site. September 2005: London Borough of Hackney becomes the Eleventh London Borough to select Ebase.
The London Borough of Hackney has chosen Ebase to meet its e-government targets for online forms and transactional web applications.

September 2005: Ebase continues to roll out as a key component of Anite SWIFT Integrated Children's System
Hampshire County Council, Sandwell MBC and Stirling Council install Ebase to support ICS.

August 2005: Kent County Council implements a Self Assessment Portal
Kent County Council has implemented a Self Assessment Portal for social services using Ebase. The application is data driven, fully configurable and automates the process of assessing what services a citizen may recieve.

August 2005: Anite relationship extended to non SWIFT applications
Anite and Ebase Technology have delivered an Invoice Management System built using Ebase to a London Borough.

August 2005: Hertfordshire County Council implements a county wide expenses system
Hertfordshire County Council is using Ebase to provide an online county wide application for the claiming and administarion of personal expenses. The application will be fully integrated with SAP R/3 Financials.

August 2005: London Borough of Hounslow Upgrades to Ebase
Following an extensive technical evaluation the London Borough of Hounslow has selected Ebase to provide transactional applications.

July 2005: A Consortium of six Welsh authorities chooses Anite SWIFT following Ebase demonstration
Caerphilly Council will be the first installation of Anite SWIFT ICS in Wales. Five other authorities will follow soon.

July 2005: Fenland District Council selects Ebase for transactional web applications and e-forms
Following a thorough evaluation of competitive products, Fenland DC selects Ebase. The integration capabilities of Ebase put it ahead of other products evaluated. Fenland plans to deliver savings by integrating Ebase with its CRM system and the government payment gateway.

June 2005: First Anite SWIFT ICS Installation
Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council is the first installation of Anite's new Integrated Children's System (ICS). Seven other authorities are scheduled for immediate installation.

May 2005: Hertfordshire CC launches 'How Can We Help' Educational Benefits Online
Hertfordshire County Council launches an innovative, web-based system which will enable citizens to apply online for the County's educational benefits including free school meals, clothing vouchers and SaverCards. This is an excellent example of a complex e-government transaction.

May 2005: Cambridge City Council
Following an in depth evaluation of competitive products Cambridge City Council selects Ebase as its chosen tool to meet its BVPI and other e-government objectives.

April 2005: Ceredigion County Council
Ceredigion County Council selects Ebase for electronic forms and application development.

March 2005: Anglesey County Council
Isle of Anglesey County Council selects Ebase for electronic forms and software integration.

Feb 2005: Bell Canada chooses Ebase
Bell Canada has chosen Ebase as a strategic platform for web development. Ebase Technology's North American Partner NTG won the order.

Feb 2005: Anite Public Sector signs agreement to adopt Ebase as the core component for its Integrated Children's System.
Following a rigorous evaluation Anite Public Sector adopts Ebase as the development platform for its Integrated Children's System. Using Ebase will provide an innovative, electronic. browser-based solution.

Feb 2005: Ebase Technology Announces Accessibility Seminar
Ebase Technology is to host a seminar titled Accessible & Usable web applications: delivering social inclusion and complying with the law.
The seminar will feature the award-winning Haringey experience. The seminar will take place at the Canonbury Academy, Islington on March 17th.

Jan 2005: Ebase Technology Announces New Branding
Ebase Technology launches its new image to reflect its emergence as a leading provider of rapid application development tools for integrated, industry scale Internet applications. Ebase Technology's flagship product, UFS, has been renamed Ebase. Modules offered include Ebase Application Server, Ebase Designer, Ebase Printing & Scanning and Ebase Workflow.

Jan 2005: All Aboard in Tyne and Wear
Ebase Technology's partner, Campbell Lee, has sold an online ticketing system to the Tyne and Wear Metro. Campbell Lee will use Ebase to develop and deliver the application.

Jan 2005: Kent Police put Crime Reporting online
Ebase Technology's partner, Thales-IS, has won a contract to supply an online Non-Emergency Crime Reporting system to Kent Police. Thales-IS beat off strong competition by building a working prototype of the application using Ebase. Thales-IS will extend the working prototype to meet the requirements of Kent Police.

Jan 2005: Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council
Following a lengthy tender process Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council has selected Ebase as its strategic platform for electronic forms and transactional web applications. The order was sealed when suppliers were asked to develop an application from scratch. Ebase Technology demonstrated how quickly real application could be delivered.

Jan 2005: London Borough of Greenwich
London Borough of Greenwich selects Ebase Hosted Forms Service as its immediate solution to providing citizen facing electronic forms.

December 2004: South Oxfordshire District Council
Following a practical evaluation, the South Oxfordshire District Council has selected Ebase as its strategic platform for delivering electronic forms and transactional web applications.

December2005: London Borough of Haringey
London Borough of Haringey selects Ebase as its partner for electronic forms and other application integration tasks. Ebase was chosen following extensive testing by Deloitte consultants to assess its suitability and to ensure that Ebase met the councils high standard for accessibility (AAA). Haringey was the first local authority to achieve AAA compliance for their web site and won the Clarion 2004 award for Accessibility and Social Inclusion.

November 2004: London Borough of Redbridge
London Borough of Redbridge selects Ebase as its strategic platform for electronic forms and transactional web applications.

November 2004: Ebase V3.1 Released
Following extensive beta testing at the London Borough of Haringey Ebase V3.1 has been released to meet the stringent requirements that make Ebase developed applications accessible to the AAA standard.

November 2004: Ebase Technology launches Hosted Forms Service
Ebase Technology launches a Hosted Forms Service to speed up the deployment of citizen facing electronic forms. A description of the service is available as a pdf.

October 2004: Ebase Technology Down Under
Two companies, Wave Business and Avalon have selected Ebase Technology as their technology partner in Australia.

October 2004: Ebase Technology and GOSS Interactive form Alliance
GOSS Interactive, suppliers of Control Site CMS, and Ebase Technology have formed an alliance to address the needs of eGovernment. Control Site and Ebase have been integrated successfully at Mole Valley District Council. GOSS Interactive will promote Ebase to other Control Site customers.

May 2004: Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council
Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council selects Ebase as the platform to meet its BVPI electronic forms targets.

May 2004: Ebase V3 Released
Following a four month beta test process Ebase Technology has released Ebase V3 into production. The new release introduces comprehensive support for repeating data structures i.e. editable, scrollable data grids that may be mapped directly to any back-office system. The V3 release extends Ebase's position as the most powerful and comprehensive forms application product available today.

April 2004: Wealden District Council
Following an extensive tender process Wealden District Council selects Ebase as its strategic platform for the delivery of integrated electronic forms.

March 2004: Peterborough City Council
Peterborough City Council has selected Ebase to meet its electronic form delivery requirements.

March 2004: Powys County Council
Powys County Council has selected Ebase as its strategic platform for the delivery of integrated electronic forms and transactional web based applications.

March 2004: London Borough of Islington

London Borough of Islington has chosen Ebase as its preferred platform to deliver integrated and workflow-based electronic form applications.

February 2004: Norfolk Connect Partnership
Following an extensive open tender the Norfolk Connect Partnership, comprising

  • Great Yarmouth Borough Council
  • Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council
  • North Norfolk District Council
  • South Norfolk District Council

has selected Ebase as its strategic platform for the delivery of county wide online forms and document image processing. Ebase worked with Anite Public Sector on the successful bid to the Norfolk group.

February 2004: London Borough of Enfield
Following an extensive tender process, the London Borough of Enfield has selected Ebase as its strategic choice for the delivery of integrated electronic forms.

January 2004: AXA Netherlands release TransAxa
AXA Insurance Netherlands has gone into production with with its TransAxa application. The project uses Ebase to validate and integrate data collection relating to a wide range of insurance and assurance products offered to the Netherlands market. The TransAxa project has been in development since September 2003. AXA has reported that it has been delighted with the productivity provided by the Ebase software framework.
