December 2005: Ebase User Group Meeting The Ebase User Group met on Friday 2nd December at Vodafone UK's Head Office campus in Newbury. Over thirty delegates attended the meeting, which had presentations from Vodafone UK, Deloitte Consulting and London Borough of Greenwich. An additional demonstration was given by Bradford MBC where a tablet PC suitably equipped with a Vodafone 3G card was used to access Ebase social services applications in Bradford. Jon Rickard, Ebase Technology's Development Director gave an overview and demonstration of the new enterprise workflow module. This was followed by demonstrations showing how easy it is to integrate Ebase with Web Services and XML. November 2005: Services Framework launched To meet the increasing demand for development services Ebase Technology has launched a Services Framework. The Services Framework provides rules of engagement for project work and employs an Agile Development methodolgy. Projects executed using the framework include:- How Can We Help (Herts CC), Community Self Assessment Website (Kent CC / Anite) and Cleansweep (LB of Greenwich) November 2005: Sunderland and South Tyneside install Ebase Both Sunderland and South Tyneside councils install Ebase to support their Anite SWIFT ICS implementations. November 2005: Norfolk CC introduces a Corporate Services Disruption System With winter upon us and bad weather forecast Norfolk CC has implemented an Ebase system to advise citizens of disruption to services. Phase 1 includes school closures due to bad weather. The system automates the production of emails and faxes to let concerened parties know which schools are affected. Messages are also sent to local radio stations and the BBC. Norfolk CC and the BBC websites are automatically updated. Norfolk CC and Ebase Technology collaborated to deliver this application. October 2005: Newsletter Launched Ebase Technology has launched a newsletter titled "Online Update" designed to keep the growing number of Ebase customers updated with new developments and to share customer experiences. "Online Update" is published as a downloadable pdf. Newsletters October 2005: Ebase in the Press Two articles have appeared featuring Ebase. Government Computing featured a full page article about Hertfordshire County Council's "How Can We Help" transactional web application for Educational Benefits while Goverment Technology has run an article describing The London Borough of Haringey's decision to use Ebase for its AAA compliant web site. For more information see the Case Studies. September 2005: London Borough of Hackney becomes the Eleventh London Borough to select Ebase. The London Borough of Hackney has chosen Ebase to meet its e-government targets for online forms and transactional web applications. September 2005: Ebase continues to roll out as a key component of Anite SWIFT Integrated Children's System Hampshire County Council, Sandwell MBC and Stirling Council install Ebase to support ICS. August 2005: Kent County Council implements a Self Assessment Portal Kent County Council has implemented a Self Assessment Portal for social services using Ebase. The application is data driven, fully configurable and automates the process of assessing what services a citizen may recieve. August 2005: Anite relationship extended to non SWIFT applications Anite and Ebase Technology have delivered an Invoice Management System built using Ebase to a London Borough. August 2005: Hertfordshire County Council implements a county wide expenses system Hertfordshire County Council is using Ebase to provide an online county wide application for the claiming and administarion of personal expenses. The application will be fully integrated with SAP R/3 Financials. August 2005: London Borough of Hounslow Upgrades to Ebase Following an extensive technical evaluation the London Borough of Hounslow has selected Ebase to provide transactional applications. July 2005: A Consortium of six Welsh authorities chooses Anite SWIFT following Ebase demonstration Caerphilly Council will be the first installation of Anite SWIFT ICS in Wales. Five other authorities will follow soon. July 2005: Fenland District Council selects Ebase for transactional web applications and e-forms Following a thorough evaluation of competitive products, Fenland DC selects Ebase. The integration capabilities of Ebase put it ahead of other products evaluated. Fenland plans to deliver savings by integrating Ebase with its CRM system and the government payment gateway. June 2005: First Anite SWIFT ICS Installation Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council is the first installation of Anite's new Integrated Children's System (ICS). Seven other authorities are scheduled for immediate installation. May 2005: Hertfordshire CC launches 'How Can We Help' Educational Benefits Online Hertfordshire County Council launches an innovative, web-based system which will enable citizens to apply online for the County's educational benefits including free school meals, clothing vouchers and SaverCards. This is an excellent example of a complex e-government transaction. May 2005: Cambridge City Council Following an in depth evaluation of competitive products Cambridge City Council selects Ebase as its chosen tool to meet its BVPI and other e-government objectives. April 2005: Ceredigion County Council Ceredigion County Council selects Ebase for electronic forms and application development. March 2005: Anglesey County Council Isle of Anglesey County Council selects Ebase for electronic forms and software integration. Feb 2005: Bell Canada chooses Ebase Bell Canada has chosen Ebase as a strategic platform for web development. Ebase Technology's North American Partner NTG won the order. Feb 2005: Anite Public Sector signs agreement to adopt Ebase as the core component for its Integrated Children's System. Following a rigorous evaluation Anite Public Sector adopts Ebase as the development platform for its Integrated Children's System. Using Ebase will provide an innovative, electronic. browser-based solution. Feb 2005: Ebase Technology Announces Accessibility Seminar Ebase Technology is to host a seminar titled Accessible & Usable web applications: delivering social inclusion and complying with the law. The seminar will feature the award-winning Haringey experience. The seminar will take place at the Canonbury Academy, Islington on March 17th. Jan 2005: Ebase Technology Announces New Branding Ebase Technology launches its new image to reflect its emergence as a leading provider of rapid application development tools for integrated, industry scale Internet applications. Ebase Technology's flagship product, UFS, has been renamed Ebase. Modules offered include Ebase Application Server, Ebase Designer, Ebase Printing & Scanning and Ebase Workflow. Jan 2005: All Aboard in Tyne and Wear Ebase Technology's partner, Campbell Lee, has sold an online ticketing system to the Tyne and Wear Metro. Campbell Lee will use Ebase to develop and deliver the application. Jan 2005: Kent Police put Crime Reporting online Ebase Technology's partner, Thales-IS, has won a contract to supply an online Non-Emergency Crime Reporting system to Kent Police. Thales-IS beat off strong competition by building a working prototype of the application using Ebase. Thales-IS will extend the working prototype to meet the requirements of Kent Police. Jan 2005: Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council Following a lengthy tender process Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council has selected Ebase as its strategic platform for electronic forms and transactional web applications. The order was sealed when suppliers were asked to develop an application from scratch. Ebase Technology demonstrated how quickly real application could be delivered. Jan 2005: London Borough of Greenwich London Borough of Greenwich selects Ebase Hosted Forms Service as its immediate solution to providing citizen facing electronic forms. |
