|
|
Hi,
Having just installed the trial version of Ebase v3.4, I am trying, unsuccessfully, to start the Ebase server.
I open a command window, navigate to the relevant directory and enter start_ebase_server.bat and receive the following error:
The CATALINA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program.
Help!
Regards,
Drew. |

Hi Drew,
The CATALINA_HOME variable is set in the start_ebase_server.bat. By default this is set to %~dsp0\tomcat. Depending on your OS there is a chance that it doesnt understand the %~dsp0.
You could try editing the batch file so that it points to the complete path, for example:
set CATALINA_HOME=C:\ebase_install_dir\UfsServer\tomcat
Hope this helps.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your response. I tried that, but unfortunately, to no avail. However, using the method in my first post, I used COMMAND.COM as opposed to CMD.EXE and that worked (My mistake!!!!!).
I can now open the designer! Fantastic!
Thanks again.
